Wiwynn ST300 is a disaggregated storage which supports 24 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSDs. It provides high density of CPU to SSDs ratio and random I/O performance among other integrated storage solutions for data-intensive and storage-intensive applications.
Ultra-high IOPS and Microsecond Grade Latency
Comparing other storage with SAS and SATA SSD, Wiwynn ST300 delivers ultra-high performance with I/O throughput of 26.6GB/s, IOPS of 5,692K (4KB random write) and excellent price performance (7,958 IOPS/Watt).
High density 24 hot-pluggable U.2 NVMe SSDs
With an impressive capacity of 24 U.2 NVMe SSDs in a 1U chassis, Wiwynn ST300 stands out from other NVMe storages as having the highest density of capacity.
Designed for High Flexibility
Designed with two PCIe 3.0 x16 host connections, ST300 is also flexible for up to 2 host connections depending on application needs. The configuration could be 24 SSDs for one host, or 24 SSDs for two hosts (recommend 12 SSDs for each host).
Out-of-band Management
Wiwynn ST300 is designed with on-chassis BMC, which allows system manager to monitor temperature, voltages, power consumption and implement LEDs indicators through IPMI management tools. The out-of-band management provides management and monitoring capabilities independently of the hosts.

What is Intel Rack Scale Design?     

Although modern development of cloud computing allows server virtualization on a physical node, resource in a node, such as CPU, storage, memory, could fall short for some applications while others are excessive in utilization.

Some applications are more computation power hungry, while the others in need of storage space. Hence, the demand of flexibly composing a node with extensible resources has grown to address the resource optimization. 

Intel Rack Scale Design is a logical architecture that enables scalable pooled resources and minimizes underutilization. 

Simply put, Intel RSD unlocks resources from physical servers, creates virtual pools of resource, applies resources to application workloads, composes resources and reconfigures as requirements change. 

Wiwynn Cluster Manager and Intel RSD 

As a leading hardware provider in the industry, Wiwynn has been working closely with Intel to realizing the flexibility of composing a node.

Wiwynn implements features of Rack Scale Design and integrates Wiwynn Cluster Manager to realize software-defined data centers. Wiwynn is the only player that finishes RSD integration and NVMe pooling.
